Lady E

Exterior design by Walter Franchini Design
Interior design by Walter Franchini Design

How do you take strong ideas and apply them successfully to the design of a superyacht? Many of the answers are to be found in LADY E (formerly LADY S and LADY ANNE), a triumph of owner-led design. The owners’ professional backgrounds - the husband, a fashion industry executive, and his wife, an architect - left them well qualified to deal with many of the important aspects of the yacht, from design to detailing to space planning. They worked closely with designer Walter Franchini and AMELS throughout every part of the design and build process. It is easy to appreciate the yacht’s beautiful 68.50-metre form, starting with her high and purposeful bow, but take a closer look and you see even more. Long horizontal deck lines are separated and punctuated by short vertical mullions, while uniformly sloped overhangs fill the geometry between a gracious bow and steeply raked stern.
