The 83-metre hull of the largest yacht ever built at Dutch luxury yard AMELS makes for an imposing sight – even in the Vlissingen yard’s huge 200-metre newly commissioned modern dry dock. With this sneak preview of the Tim Heywood-designed AMELS 272, we can already see just how voluminous this yacht will be (2,827 GT). Right on schedule, in the coming weeks AMELS' craftsmen will ‘marry’ the steel hull (not-yet-faired) with the aluminium superstructure.
